The FMS Athletics Department recently hosted its annual Coaches Clinic, bringing together all coaches and athletic trainers to review departmental goals and reinforce the FMS culture. The event featured two engaging Q&A sessions, one with veteran coaches and another with emerging coaching talent. These sessions explored a range of topics, including effective strategies, motivating student-athletes, maintaining a positive team culture, fresh perspectives in athletics, and the integration of technology and social media into our programs.
“You cannot be a good coach without being a good teacher,” said Superintendent Cody Diehl, underscoring the profound impact our coaching staff has on students.
“All the things you do leave a lasting impact, teaching teamwork, resilience, character, setting a positive example, being a role model, and building meaningful relationships. You’re not just shaping athletes; you're shaping individuals who are vital to our community. I want to thank you and remind you that coaching is about much more than winning or losing. Your work improves attendance, keeps students engaged, and fosters lifelong success,” he added.
