Below, you'll find everything you need to register a new student or complete registration for a returning student for the 2025–2026 school year. On the right side of this page, you’ll also find all the key information you need to help your child start the school year smoothly—from registration to important dates and helpful resources.

New to Farmington?

If you’ve just moved to the wonderful City of Farmington—welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Below, you'll find everything you need to register a new student. Also, the links on the right side of this page will guide you through everything you need to know to get started and ensure your child receives the best education in San Juan County.

Is Your Child a New or Returning Student?

Please use the information below to help determine whether you should register your child as a New Student or a Returning Student for the 2025–2026 school year.

Please complete New Student Registration if:

• Your child has never attended any Farmington Municipal Schools (FMS), or

• Your child did not attend any FMS school during the 2024–2025 school year, or

• Your child started the 2024–2025 school year at FMS but did not complete it.

Make sure you have the following information ready:

• Your child's doctor’s name and contact info

• Health insurance details

• Student health history

• Emergency contact names, addresses, and phone numbers

How to Register

• Step 1: Click the “New Student Enrollment” box. This will take you to our online registration system, PowerSchool Enrollment (formerly InfoSnap).

• Step 2: Click here to view the list of required documents.

Please complete the Returning Student Registration if:

• Your child attended any school in Farmington Municipal Schools (FMS) during the 2024–2025 school year, or

• You already have an active PowerSchool Parent Account

Need to Create a Parent Account?

• If you don’t have a PowerSchool Parent Account yet:

• Visit our Parent Accounts page.

• Follow the instructions under the “PowerSchool” section to create your account.

• Once your account is activated, go to “PowerSchool Enrollment” to register your student.

How to Register a Returning Student

• Step 1: Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Account.

• Step 2: In the left-hand menu, click on “Returning Student Registration 2025–2026.” This will take you to the registration page where you can update your child’s information for the new school year.

If you are new to our district and not currently enrolled in one of our FMS schools, you can register your child by following the link on the right. Please be aware that there are two links available, one for the current school year (2024-25) and one for the upcoming year (2025-26). Make sure you select the correct link, otherwise, you will be asked to fill out the registration form again.

• If your student turns 4 before August 31, 2025, please enroll at FPA West!

• Peer student program openings for students who are at least three years old and students with IEPs will be served at FPA East.

• If your child has an IEP and currently attends FPA East, s/he will automatically be enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year.

You will need:

• Proof of Residency (Utility Bill), Birth Certificate, and up-to-date Immunization Records
