Orchestra students will be invited to "Orchestra at the Symphony" tomorrow, October 13. The concert pre-talk will begin at 2:00 where students will learn about the music that is about to be performed and the concert will begin at 3:00 PM. The public is more than welcome and encouraged to attend our local professional performances at San Juan College Henderson Performing Arts Theater. Tickets available at the door.

Tomorrow beginning at 9 PM, All Farmington Middle School Orchestra students will start working with professional string players on string playing technique and overall musicianship. There will be a short concert presentation at 5 PM for the public in the San Juan College, Henderson Hall. Cost will be $3/person.
This last week our Volleyball team showed a tremendous amount of sportsmanship at the basin volleyball tournament. Our Titans placed third overall.
From Ms. McGee: "This was from the 8th grade Volleyball Basin Tournament. The Hermosa girls came out to stand with our team. They cheered for us the entire time. This was on Monday. I was sitting right next to the Heights girls and they were also cheering for us. Our girls were much more energized and I truly feel like that had a huge impact on how we played. Tibbetts ended up placing 3rd in the Basin!"

Our Youth, Our Future Survey to Be Conducted at
Tibbetts Middle School
On October 7th, students in 6th-8th grades will begin taking the Our Youth, Our Future survey in cooperation with the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research at Colorado State University. The funding for the administration of the survey comes from a federal grant awarded to the Tri-Ethnic Center, which allows the survey to be conducted at no cost to the school. Participation in this survey is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential.
Parents who wish to withdraw their child from participating may do so by contacting Principal Argostinger or Ms. Curry at 505-599-8613 or cargotsinger@fms.k12.nm.us and rcurry@fms.k12.nm.us. In addition, a copy of the survey is available from the school office for parents who would like to review it. Tibbetts Middle School believes that students’ participation in this survey will assist the school in planning, funding, and evaluating drug and alcohol prevention programs.
