FMS Middle School Families, the FREE Summer Reading Program for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders is being hosted at Farmington High School. May 20th is the deadline to register your 6th, 7th, or 8th student. Register at Literacy.NM.gov.
Orchestra students will be invited to "Orchestra at the Symphony" tomorrow, May 18. The concert pre-talk will begin at 2:00 where students will learn about the music that is about to be performed and the concert will begin at 3:00 PM. The public is more than welcome and encouraged to attend our local professional performances at San Juan College Henderson Performing Arts Theater. Tickets available at the door.
This recital is for all semester 12piano students and their families and other guests. Students should dress nicely for this event. Please park in the Tibbetts gymnasium parking lot through the yellow gates and enter the building through the gymnasium doors.
Students will rehearse for this spring concert after school in the gym until the concert. Students will wear their concert uniform and need to bring a snack.
Tomorrow evening, this ceremony will include only Tibbetts students. Ceremony will take place in the FHS Auxiliary Gym Tuesday, May 13⋅6:00 – 7:00pm

School nurses are our first responders for medical concerns. School nurses and nurse aides are the first place a student thinks to go when they don't feel well or have been hurt. But they also provide a wealth of information that supports a successful education as well. The observance reminds us of all the great reasons the nurse is available to your school. They provide more than Band-Aids for scrapes on the playground and check for fevers when a child shows the first sign of illness. Thank you!

On April 22, all FMS students received a planting kit as part of our Earth Day Challenge. The goal is for students to plant their seeds—either in a pot or directly in the ground—and track their progress. This fun activity encourages healthy habits early in life and helps students develop a lifelong love for growing and eating fruits and vegetables. Want to join the challenge? Students who sign up will receive instructions for completing a short video or PowerPoint presentation showcasing their planting journey. These will be shared by Monday, June 2, 2025. Students with the best reports in elementary, middle, and high school will each win a $100 Growers Bucks prize to spend at the Farmington Growers Market.
FHS and Tibbetts orchestra students will be featured at this concert. Doors will open at 5:15 PM. $3/person. Pre-show end-of-year slideshow featuring every orchestra student will begin at 5:40 PM. Music portion of concert will start at 6:01 PM.

These rehearsals will include everyone who is involved with the Orchestra Pops Concert in any way. All of them are required and will be counted for a rehearsal grade. Please notice that each rehearsal will be held in the TMS Cafeteria. 6th graders will be released by 6 PM 7th graders will be released by 6:30 PM 8th graders will be released by 7:30 PM.
