This week, we celebrate them as a part of National School Counseling Week 2026. FMS school counselors help students in more ways than you may know. School counselors design and deliver school counseling programs that improve life-readiness and academic success. They lead, advocate, and collaborate to promote success for each and every student by connecting their school counseling program to the school’s academic mission and school improvement plan. Thank you, FMS School Counselors, for your dedication and the incredible support you provide to our students every day!

Heights Middle School students wrapped up their Friday afternoon (October 17) with an unforgettable burst of color, energy, and fun. The school hosted a vibrant Color Run where students ran, jumped, splashed, and laughed their way through an obstacle course filled with colorful powders. Students came dressed in white t-shirts, and by the end of the run, their clothes had transformed into bright, tie-dye masterpieces. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Ms. Crystal Hatch for leading the fundraising efforts that helped the school raise more than 20 thousand dollars. Thanks to her work and the incredible support from families and the community, we are able to host special events like this one and create more enriching educational and community-building experiences for our students.
