Our 2nd-grade students at Country Club Elementary just wrapped up their CKLA unit on the Human Body, diving deeper into body systems and organs.

To bring this learning to life beyond the textbook, our teachers transformed their classrooms into a hospital unit complete with operating rooms, a lab, and exciting hands-on stations. Dressed in their very own lab coats and stethoscopes, our students got up close with how our lungs, bones, digestive system, and blood all work together to keep us healthy and strong, while also exploring the world of germs.

This kind of learning helps students connect classroom concepts to the real world in ways that stick with them long after the bell rings. And who knows? Today’s curious 2nd grader just might be tomorrow’s nurse, medical researcher, or doctor.
A huge shoutout to our 2nd-grade teachers for going above and beyond to create such a creative, meaningful, and memorable experience for their students. Go, Eagles!
