Pulling back the curtain on Career and Technical Education and Work-Based Learning

Starting next week, we're pulling back the curtain on Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Farmington Municipal Schools, and we can't wait for you to see it.

You'll hear directly from our students: their voices, their visions, and the real experiences shaping their futures right here in our classrooms.

To bring more than a dozen programs to your screens, we partnered with 4C Studio, a talented local media team who truly listened, collaborated, and brought fresh ideas to the table. Together, we're reaching our communities through local platforms and our official social media channels, because these stories deserve to be seen.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our FMS CTE & WBL students, teachers, and staff. Their commitment, creativity, and heart show up in every frame of the videos you’ll see, and we are deeply grateful.

Start with our Culinary Art interviews and highlights below. Then stay tuned. You're going to love what's next.

As you watch, we invite you to think bigger with us. We're now more than halfway through an exciting planning process to transform our programs and CATE Center into a Regional Area Technical Center, a place where students will learn hands-on from industry experts and will be prepared for in-demand careers and competitive wages in jobs that already exist right here in our communities.

You can read more about how this vision is being shaped by educators and industry leaders working side by side [here], and about our Construction Skilled Trades Lab, slated to open in Fall 2027, [here].

You belong at FMS. And your future does too. Tú perteneces en FMS. Tu futuro también. Náásgóó yinaałgo ná yá'át'ééhdo éí bininaa FMSdi nihá' ííníłta'.
