Now in its 27th year, the NAMM Foundation's award celebrates schools and districts across the nation that demonstrate exemplary leadership in expanding equitable access to music education, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the transformative power of music, regardless of background or circumstance.
Music plays a vital role in every student's life and in our school culture. It is a form of creative expression and so much more. Research shows that music strengthens mathematical thinking, enhances language development and memory, and builds discipline and emotional intelligence.
