We’re pleased to introduce our new Armed Campus Safety Monitor (ACSM), Mr. Dave Aeschlimann.
Mr. Aeschlimann will be our new ACSM at Rocinante High School. He is a retired officer from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office, a former Patrol Officer and Detective with the Aztec Police Department, and an Investigator with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe Division of Gaming.
Mr. Aeschlimann was officially sworn in on Friday, November 14, by Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe.

In January 2024, the FMS Board of Education approved a measure allowing specially trained security personnel to carry firearms on campus. This decision led to the creation of the ACSM role, experienced, former law enforcement officers dedicated to ensuring a safe learning environment and providing an added layer of protection during emergencies.
