Farmington Municipal Schools Earn Top FMAR Score in New Mexico

Today, the Public School Facilities Authority, the agency responsible for evaluating all school buildings in the state, shared some exciting news: Farmington Municipal Schools earned the highest FMAR rating in all of New Mexico, with an impressive average score of 90.29%. Our Preventive Maintenance Plan also received a perfect score from PSFA.

FMARs or Facility Maintenance Assessment Reports review everything from parking lots and entrances (including ADA ramps) to playgrounds, athletic fields, sidewalks, windows, roofs, security systems, kitchens, and more. These reports make sure school buildings are safe, welcoming, and well cared for.

A heartfelt thank you and congratulations to our incredible Operations Team for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts help keep our schools and offices safe, clean, and ready for teaching and learning every day.

And huge congratulations to our Plant Operations Supervisor, Mr. Charles Vanden Broeck, on also being honored with the Ben Luján Award for the Plant Manager of the Year by PSFA. Nice job!

“Both of these awards are a reflection of the incredible teamwork, dedication, and support that make our community so special. Achievements like this are never accomplished alone; they are the result of all of our staff working together toward a shared goal,” said Mr. Vanden Broeck.
