Farmington Municipal Schools developed the message “You Belong at FMS” in 2025 to promote inclusion and ensure that every student feels welcomed and supported. The message is in English, Español, and Diné, our largest student populations. The campaign highlights FMS as a district that continues to be committed to providing a high-quality education in an environment that embraces all students. More than a slogan, it’s our story.
Featured in this campaign is Ms. Linsey Yazzie (Class of 2025), a student whose determination and ambition have already taken her far. On May 20, Linsey proudly crossed two significant milestones: earning her high school diploma and an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. Her impressive achievement is the result of not only her hard work but also the unwavering support of her teachers, advisors, and family. With her sights set high, Linsey is headed to Utah Valley University this fall, where she plans to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Sciences. Her ultimate goal? To become a professional pilot. Linsey is also a recipient of this year's Chief Manuelito Scholarship!
Our media outreach for this campaign leveraged several platforms, including local electronic billboards, our official social media channels, and a local newspaper. This year, we expanded our reach by adding two high-visibility billboards on US 550 and US 64 with weekly impressions that surpass 100 thousand views, and we plan to include local radio programs, so stay tuned!.
FMS is also committed to evaluating the effectiveness of our outreach. We regularly review analytics to assess not just public engagement on our website and social media but overall reach. Between June 30 and August 11 of this year, the most visited pages on our website were the Registration and PowerSchool pages, followed by Bus Routes and Stops, Academic Calendar, School Meals, and About Us. And our most recent registration campaign has reached an amazing 26,871 users across our social media platforms.
