On Earth Day 2024, all students at Farmington Municipal School got planting kits! Elementary kids got zinnia, marigold seeds, and sugar snap pea seeds. Middle and high schoolers got to choose cucumber or marigold seeds.
The Earth Day Challenge is to plant your seeds at home, in a pot, or on the ground, and share your progress.
Register here between May 1 and May 17, 2024.
Contestants can upload a short video or a PowerPoint with colorful pictures showing their plant's growth. We'd love to see how your sugar snap peas grow and how you enjoy eating them! Three winners will be announced at the Local Food Summit in July. We'll send all registered students details on making their video or PowerPoint, and the deadlines.
