PVC Pipettes and PV Chamber Choir Win State

Let’s celebrate big wins for the Piedra Vista High School choirs! The PVC Pipettes and PV Chamber Choir both took home first place in their divisions at the NMAA Choir State Championship. It’s a historic moment because it's the first time the school has won in two categories at once!

Mr. James Golden and his students poured their hearts into perfecting their performances, and it paid off big time. The audience and judges could feel the passion and emotion they put into every note.

The PVC Pipettes faced tough competition from sixteen other treble choirs, and their hard work paid off with a well-deserved win. And the PV Chamber Choir kicked off the mixed choir performances with a bang, setting the standard high for the remainder of the competition.

Mr. Golden's guidance shone through as the students made the music come alive beyond just the notes on the page. What an incredible achievement for the PVHS Choir! Go Panthers!

The PVC Pipettes won in the 5A Treble Choir Contest and the PV Chamber Choir won in the 5A Choir Contest at this year’s State Choir Contest, which took place at V. Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Mr. Golden has been with FMS since August 2019.
