On Friday, January 26, more than 70 students from Esperanza Elementary School, Tibbetts Middle School, Farmington High School, and Rocinante High School came together at Central Office for a special event called "Student Voices: You Are An Influencer!" This event, filled with workshops and presentations, was designed for the Student Equity Councils at the schools. It aimed to help students develop leadership skills, learn to use their voices for positive change, and advocate for others.

During a workshop with Multicultural Director Diane Arrington, students collaborated on creating "Rings of Culture." This activity allowed them to gain new perspectives, visualize common goals, and better understand each other's needs.

The young advocates also participated in team-building activities like "Vision Boarding for Success" to celebrate achievements and set aspirations and "Dance and Movement" to promote mental and physical well-being.

Huge kudos to all the presenters and organizers who made this event insightful and inspiring.

A special shout-out to Ms. Lacey Fitzgerald for sharing her personal story with our students, emphasizing the importance of overcoming obstacles and positively influencing others.
