FMS In The News – Farmington boys chase down 1600 medley state crown. By Quentin Jodie, Navajo Times. With a chance to win a state title, the Farmington boys 1600-meter sprint medley team were all in. The group, which consists of senior Dayton Bizzell, junior Daniel Austin, and sophomores Canton Cahoon and Cache Webb, overcame some early jitters as the foursome beat out a competitive field in Saturday afternoon’s finals at the New Mexico Class 5A state track meet in Albuquerque. The Scorps won the race in 3:32.24 with Rio Rancho Cleveland High coming in second at 3:35.01 followed by Las Cruces Organ Mountain third at 3:35.17. On Saturday evening at UNM Lobo Baseball Field, the Panthers made sure there would be little suspense by the end of it.
