Birth Certificate Replacement & Children's Flu Shots Event: Farmington High School (Parking Lot), Thursday, December 18, from 3-5 p.m. The New Mexico Department of Health Vital Records team will be offering replacement birth certificates for those born in New Mexico. The search fee is $10 for one certificate. Identification is required (driver's license, Social Security cards, Medicaid IDs, Tribal IDs). The NM Public Education Department’s Office of Special Education is offering parents and caregivers 90-minute virtual sessions designed to empower families to navigate the special education process. The sessions will cover understanding special education rights, navigating Individualized Education Programs, fostering effective communication with schools, and preparing for key transitions in your child’s educational journey. The first Family Learning Virtual Session is this Wednesday, November 19, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The district has reserved a meeting room at our Central Office (3401 E. 30th Street) for families who wish to attend. FMS In The News – Farmington soccer player signs with Lamar. By Quentin Jodie, Navajo Times. Cinjin Toledo, a recent graduate of Farmington High School, signed his letter of intent with the Lamar Community College men’s soccer team. Toledo, who was a staple on the FHS boys soccer program, was considering a few other programs before signing with the two-year college in Lamar, Colorado. Read more:

FMS In The News – Farmington collects 2 gold, 2 silver medals at state. By Quentin Jodie, Navajo Times. The Farmington track team walked away with eight medals during last week’s New Mexico Class 5A state track meet, which included a pair of gold and silver medals. Farmington freshman Avery Sandefer won the girls triple jump and she placed second in the long jump. Scorpion hurdler Alex Serrano took gold in the 300-meter hurdles while junior James Rogers earned a second-place medal in the javelin. Sandefer won the triple crown with a 35-feet, 8-inch effort as she topped her state qualifying mark by over a foot. Read more:
