October is prevention month at Tibbetts Middle School! All students received Bully Prevention lessons last week & will be receiving Substance Abuse Prevention lessons this week. Next Week, we will have spirit days to celebrate what was learned & students who signed the pledge to take a stand against bullying & drugs!

8th grade students, there will be a Parents/Athlete Meeting for FHS Swim and Dive on Thursday, Oct. 12th at 7:00 pm in the FHS Commons. PLEASE have a parent or guardian and athlete present. In order to minimize distractions and social media bullying and maximize learning, Tibbetts is employing a "NO PHONES" policy. Lockers are going to be assigned starting October 9th at school and that is where we are going to ask students to keep their cell phones.
Consequences for taking out a phone during classtime:
1st offense cell phone jail (in the office), pick up at end of day.
2nd offense cell phone jail, parent pickup
Following offenses cell phone jail, lunch detention/suspension

Join us TOMORROW MORNING for Coffee with the Principals (Parent Advisory Committee). Here's your chance to talk with our Principals and our Parent Liaison to shape some of the things here at our school. Let your voice be heard.
Tomorrow beginning at 1 PM, Beginning Orchestra students will start working with professional string players on string playing technique and overall musicianship. There will be a short concert presentation at 5 PM for the public in the FHS Spotlight Theater.

The Tibbetts Band is going to help cheer on our football team as they play against Heights. Come listen to the band and support them as they support the guys on the field. Band students need to stay after school and will be dismissed after the football game around 6 PM.
