FMS In The News: SUN Bucks program provides food assistance to children in New Mexico. By Jacqlin Aragon, KOB. The New Mexico Education Department is making sure any student who needs help getting meals this summer aren’t left with no place to go. Eligible students can now apply for “SUN Bucks” with the launch of the USDA’s new summer nutrition SUN Programs. “We just really want to keep our kids nutritionally sound during the summer months while school is out. And when they come back in August, they’re ready to go,” said Marie Johnson, a student nutrition coordinator for FMS. Be a part of GenCyber! From coding to cryptography, be a part of GenCyber. Choose from one of two weeks: June 3-7, 2024, or June 17-21, 2024. These FREE camps are for students who have completed grades 6-11, with campers divided into two groups. Campers must be willing to commit to the 5-day camp and come to campus every day. The SJCHS Family Information Night will be Thursday, February 1 at 6 pm in the SJC Connie Gotsch Theater. This is for students in the Class of 2028.
The SJCHS Application will open on February 1 for the Class of 2028!
We’ll see you at the Native American Heritage Festival on November 29, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at San Juan College’s Henderson Fine Arts Center. FMS, we will have student performances and presentations from elementary, middle, and high schools, videos, and special guests. This event is free and open to the public.

FMS In The News: Nearly 200 future mechanics take part in skills competition at San Juan College Automotive and diesel repair students square off against each other. By Mike Easterling, Farmington Daily Times. The winners of Friday’s competition will advance to the state competition at Central New Mexico Community College in April. The first-place winners were Thomas Pipkin of San Juan College in the post-secondary automotive division, Todd Wedel of the Career Enrichment Center in Albuquerque in the high school automotive division, Andrew Stoner of San Juan College in the post-secondary diesel division and Rylan Darnell of San Juan College High School in the high school diesel division.
