Celebrating Student Success: 2025 Chief Manuelito Scholars

Today, the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship & Financial Assistance honored 137 outstanding students as 2025 Chief Manuelito Scholars, including 10 exceptional graduates from FMS, in a special ceremony in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Chief Manuelito Scholarship is the highest academic award given by the Navajo Nation and provides $7,000 per academic year to help cover college expenses. This is a proud moment for our students, families, and community.

The Chief Manuelito Scholarship program was established by the Navajo Nation in 1980 to honor Chief Manuelito, Hastin Chi'ihaajiin (1818-1893), a leader who encouraged the Navajo people to pursue education while preserving and protecting Navajo tradition and culture.
