FMS families, July 31 is the final day of our Seamless Summer Feeding Program, and we have something special for you! Come by Central Kitchen (305 N. Court Ave.) between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. to pick up free five-day meal kits for your kids, including both breakfast and lunch. These kits are available for all children 18 and under, so make sure to stop by while supplies last. See you there!


FMS, the first day of school is right around the corner! Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th graders will start classes on August 7. All other grades will begin school on August 8. FMS In The News: SUN Bucks program provides food assistance to children in New Mexico. By Jacqlin Aragon, KOB. The New Mexico Education Department is making sure any student who needs help getting meals this summer aren’t left with no place to go. Eligible students can now apply for “SUN Bucks” with the launch of the USDA’s new summer nutrition SUN Programs. “We just really want to keep our kids nutritionally sound during the summer months while school is out. And when they come back in August, they’re ready to go,” said Marie Johnson, a student nutrition coordinator for FMS. FMS In The News: PV hurdler overcomes jitters, wins state title. By Quentin Jodie, Navajo Times. “My start was very nerve-wracking,” Ericksen said. Despite those jitters, the PV hurdler trusted her training as she picked up some speed in the midst of her race at the UNM Track & Field and Soccer Complex in Albuquerque. Farmington Police Department and Administrators from Piedra Vista High School have been made aware of a school threat made for Tuesday, March 26, on the Say Something App. Local law enforcement is actively investigating this threat. The threat has warranted an increased law enforcement presence in and around the School throughout the day.
