Back To School, Open House Schedule, Start and End Times for 2026

FMS Students and Families,

We're excited to share important dates for the start of the 2026 to 2027 school year at Farmington Municipal Schools. Please mark your calendars!

Teachers Report: Monday, August 3

Our teachers and staff will return to prepare their classrooms and get ready to welcome your students back.

First Day of School for All Grades: Monday, August 10

This is the big day for most FMS students! Elementary, middle, and high school students (with the exceptions noted below) will begin classes on this day.

San Juan College High School Start Dates

San Juan College High School follows a staggered start for students:

Class of 2030: Monday, August 10
Class of 2029: Tuesday, August 11

Preschool Start Date: Wednesday, August 12

Our youngest learners will begin preschool a little later, giving teachers extra time to prepare.

We can't wait to see our students back in the halls and classrooms this fall. Here's to a wonderful new school year!

Preschool PreK Full Day: 7:50 to 2:20 p.m. PreK 619 AM: 7:50 to 10:50 a.m. PreK 619 PM: 11:20 to 2:20 p.m.
Elementary School: classes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Middle School: classes start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 3:20 p.m.
High School: classes from 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
San Juan College High School’s Monday through Thursday Bell Schedule: First Period: 8:00 to 9:13 a.m. Second Period: 9:18 to 10:31 a.m. Third Period: 10:36 to 11:49 a.m. Lunch: 11:54 a.m. to 12:24 p.m. Fourth Period: 12:29 to 1:42 p.m. Fifth Period: 1:47 to 2:55 p.m. San Juan College High School’s Friday Bell Schedule: First Period: 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Second Period: 9:05 to 10:05 a.m. Third Period: 10:10 to 11:10 a.m. Griffin Clubs: 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Lunch: 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. Fourth Period: 12:55 to 1:55 p.m. Fifth Period: 2:00 to 2:55 p.m.
