Dear FMS Families and Staff,
During the current federal government shutdown, we understand that some families may be facing additional challenges. To support our students and ensure that every child has access to nutritious food, Farmington Municipal Schools will offer free meals to all students who need them.
Meal service will begin on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Meals will be available at the following times:
Preschools: Beginning at 1:30 p.m. in classrooms
Elementary Schools: Beginning at 2:15 p.m. in classrooms
Middle Schools and High Schools: Immediately after the final bell at designated pickup areas (see below)
Each meal will be cold and ready for easy pickup. Meals will include a protein, a grain, a fruit, a vegetable, and milk.

Preschools and Elementary Schools
Meals will be distributed inside each classroom
Middle Schools
Heights Middle School: At the school’s front door, and also near the gym’s entrance
Hermosa Middle School: At the bus area and 8th-grade hall
Mesa View Middle School: Near the basketball court and bus line, and the 6th/7th/8th grade exit
Tibbetts Middle School: Near the buses and by the front entrance
High Schools
Farmington High School: One by the gate at Scorp Arena and one by the front entrance
Piedra Vista High School: One by the Fine Arts building and one near the front entrance
Rocinante High School: At the school cafeteria
San Juan College High School: Near the entrance’s sliding doors

This guide includes information on community organizations that are offering assistance with food, utilities, and emergency needs.
