FMS families, pick up 5-day Breakfast and Lunch Meal Kits on Friday, December 20, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, December 27, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Distribution location for both dates is Central Kitchen (305 N. Court Avenue). No registration is required. First come, first served. A big thank you to FMS Student Nutrition and K12 by Elior for providing 5-day breakfast and lunch meal kits to help keep our students nourished during the Winter Break!

This prestigious program, which will take place from June 8–15, 2025, at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, is fully funded, including tuition and application fees. As part of their Affinity Group spotlight, the blog highlights Ms. Thompson's incredible work as a co-chair of the Society of Women Engineers - SWE’s Indigenous Peoples Affinity Group. Currently pursuing her Doctorate in Engineering Management, Ms. Thompson's research focuses on data analytics and strategic decision-making — tools she plans to use to make STEM education more accessible and equitable, especially for Indigenous and underrepresented communities. Join us in welcoming Mr. Milo McMinn, our new Assistant Director of College & Career Readiness! Mr. McMinn grew up in Grants, NM, and graduated from Grants High School. He studied secondary education at New Mexico State University - Las Cruces. Mr. McMinn taught for eight years at the high school level before moving into administration for the past seven and a half years. He holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University and a postgraduate certificate in Educational Leadership from Western New Mexico University. Mr. McMinn comes to us from the Aztec Municipal School District (AMSD), where he served as the Director of Career and Technical Education. He is also the founding Principal of Bond Wilson Technical Center (BWTC) which is a New Mexico Public Education Department-designated early college high school academy. More to come from Mr. McMinn and FMS College & Career Readiness.
