Find out what students, parents, and staff have to say about San Juan College High School

I was thrilled when I was accepted to SJCHS, eager to be surrounded by peers who shared the same respect and value for their education. The education I am receiving is challenging, but in a way that I am seeing major growth. Even when the work gets difficult, the teachers are extremely kind and understanding. Also, all the resources I need are provided, such as the tutoring center, library, and gym (HHPC). Not only does my education feel valued, but I as a person feel valued. I am so extremely grateful for this incredible opportunity, and cannot wait to see what great things my future holds.

I like SJCHS because the students are given freedom and respect. We are treated like young adults by our teachers and professors, and are respected by our teachers and professors. I also like this school because it offers a very good, accelerated learning program with many perks, such as a flexible schedule and different lunch options.

Learning that I got into San Juan College High School was a mix of emotions—joy, excitement, and anticipation. The transition from middle school was a big shift, going from minimal homework to balancing both high school and college assignments. It felt overwhelming at first, but my high school teachers were incredibly understanding, and the welcoming front office staff created a comfortable environment that helped me grow socially. Though the first semester was challenging, I quickly found my rhythm, and the flexibility of the school made managing my time easier. The resources, friendships, and supportive staff made the late nights worthwhile. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and excited for what’s ahead.

Attending San Juan College High School has been one of the most significant and valuable opportunities I’ve had, surrounded by others who value education just as much as I do. At first, it felt challenging with the fast-paced learning and college classes, but it has definitely been worth it. The encouraging and supportive office staff and teachers have helped me and others get through it. The freedom we have as students has made this school and the college a comfortable environment with a variety of clubs and organizations offered. I am tremendously grateful for my education, the opportunities given, and the friendships I have made here. I can’t wait for what my future holds.

Going to San Juan College High School has totally changed the game for me. From day one, I felt like I belonged. The mix of high school and college classes is tough, but it’s helped me get ahead and learn how to manage my time, think critically, and stay on top of things. The small classes make it easy to connect with teachers and actually be part of the conversation. There’s also a ton of support—whether it’s clubs, leadership stuff, or college help, there’s always someone to guide you. I’ve grown a lot here, and I’d 100% recommend it to anyone ready for a challenge and a school that really cares.
