Behavior and Attendance Policy

Students/Guardians are responsible for knowing and abiding by the information presented in the current student handbook and related school board policy. Some important reminders are:

  1. The student will attend school each and every day while school is in session, except for illness and/or death in the family. Parents or guardians must notify the school before 9:00 am and provide a written excuse upon the students return to school.

  2. The student will be in class, on time, and ready to complete assignments to the best of their ability.

  3. The student will not in any way disrupt the educational process through disrespect to school personnel or other unacceptable behavior as set forth in the Student/Parent Handbook or the rules and regulations of the Farmington School Board.

  4. Continuous Enrollment: Students who fail to make academic progress, exhibit disruptive behavior, and/or continue to have chronic attendance/tardies may be disenrolled, sent back to their home schools or placed on an Academic/Attendance/Behavior contract.

All students are placed on a 180-day probationary status which starts with the enrollment date. If a student does not abide by the behavior and attendance policy, they are at risk of returning to their home high school.
