Farmington Municipal Schools Opens New Preschool Academy

Today, Farmington Municipal Schools (FMS) celebrated the opening of the Farmington Preschool Academy. This new 51,900-square-foot facility expands access to early childhood education and becomes the largest preschool facility in New Mexico.

FMS Celebrates 23 Chief Manuelito Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the FMS students who were awarded the 2026 Chief Manuelito Scholarship this past weekend in Flagstaff, Arizona! Of the 183 students statewide who earned the scholarship this year, 23 are outstanding Farmington Municipal Schools students.

Language & Culture

The Native American Programs serves about 49% of Native American Students. The program is operated by Grant funds.  Currently, the Native American Programs operates on the Title VI formula grant, Navajo Nation Johnson O'Malley (NNJOM) Subcontract grant, Title VII-Impact Aid grant, and the NMPED Indian Education Department funds. 

Native Pathways

The Native American Programs offers various initiatives such as Native Pathways. The Native Pathways include holistic wellness, cultural activities & events, academic support (parental cost), and college & career readiness.
