PVHS Chamber Choir Takes 2nd Place

V. Sue Cleveland High Concert, April 2025 - We're delighted to share that the talented Piedra Vista Chamber Choir earned 2nd place at the NMAA Class 5A State Choir Competition!

It was a wonderful weekend filled with beautiful music as our Farmington Municipal Schools choirs performed alongside the top ensembles in the state. We couldn't be prouder of the dedication, talent, and teamwork shown by all of our student musicians.

Thank you to our amazing directors, supportive families, and passionate students for making this experience unforgettable.

Last year, Piedra Vista’s PVC Pipettes and PV Chamber Choir both took home first place in their divisions at the NMAA Choir State Championship. It was a historic moment because it's the first time the school has won in two categories at once.

Art, music, and performing give students something few other subjects can: a chance to express who they are. Through painting, playing an instrument, singing, or stepping on stage, students learn to communicate feelings and ideas that words alone cannot capture. These experiences build confidence and teach discipline, all while nurturing creativity that carries into every other part of a student's life. Just as importantly, art and music teach our students that these subjects are about sharing and the value of creating.
