Our Fine Arts Program

Theory of Action

We believe that when a student participates in our fine arts programs, they have developed artistic literacy skills as defined by the New Mexico Core Arts. They have participated in high-quality performances, produced high-quality artistic works, and have become a part of a community that is larger than themselves. We also believe that by participating in our fine arts program, they have developed an awareness of their own culture and the cultures of others, aesthetic awareness, and a sense of community where they thrive as producers and patrons of the arts.

Furthermore, FMS fine arts students develop 21st-century skills through the application and practice of skills of their chosen discipline. Finally, it is our hope that FMS fine arts students have developed qualities of leadership, citizenship, and the ability to thoughtfully contribute to our community and society through the development of their artistic skills.
