Step 1: Email our Workforce Community Liaison, Liz Galvan

To get started on your journey to becoming a host for our work-based learning program, simply reach out to our dedicated Workforce Community Liaison, Liz Galvan. Send an email to egalvan@fms.k12.nm.us, expressing your interest and stating the number of interns you would like to request.

Step 2: Meeting and Business Assessment

Liz Galvan will promptly respond to your email and arrange a meeting with you. During this meeting, she will visit your business premises to evaluate its suitability as a safe environment for hosting interns. This assessment is crucial to ensure the well-being and security of both your business and the participating students. Additionally, Liz will discuss the program's guidelines and expectations with you, addressing any questions or concerns you may have.

Step 3: Sign the Memorandum of Understanding

Once the meeting has taken place, and you are satisfied with the program's guidelines and requirements, we will provide you with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU outlines all the conditions and expectations of participation in our work-based learning program. To proceed, simply review the document carefully, ensuring that you understand and agree to all the terms, and sign it. By signing the MOU, you demonstrate your commitment to providing a valuable work-based learning experience for students while adhering to the program's guidelines and maintaining a safe environment. The MOU solidifies the partnership between your business and our organization, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship.
